About PWP 

Parents Without Partners, Inc. is a nonprofit, nonsectarian, educational organization devoted to the welfare and interests of single parents and their children.  Twenty-five single parents met in New York City in March 1957 marking the beginning of PWP which has grown to over 180,000 members in more than 1,000 chapters in the United States, Canada, and overseas.  International Headquarters is located at 1650 South Dixie Highway, Suite 510, Boca Raton, Florida, 33432.  PWP provides support, fellowship, and opportunities for personal growth and strengthening of family relationships.  It maintains a balanced program of family, educational, and social programs.

About Nassau Chapter 14

Our activities include events for children as well as for parents.  Typical outings include:

New Members

To be eligible for membership in PWP, a person must be a parent of one or more living children, be single by reason of death, divorce, separation, or never married, and be of good character.  There are no other requirements.  Custody of children is not a factor.

Orientation and Dues

Orientations occur at 7:30 PM on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month.  All new members are required to attend an Orientation Meeting.  Yearly membership is $49.00 and includes International, Regional, and Chapter dues, insurance surcharges,  and a subscription to the Nassau Chapter 14 newsletter.

Location: Orientations are held in the school cafeteria of the Holy Spirit Church, 500 Jericho Turnpike, New Hyde Park.  Parking is on the side of the church in the back.  The entrance to the cafeteria is the second door on the right.
